Question for parents and high-tech toys for tots?

What do you think about all these new toys, such as proof of damage digital cameras for young children, LeapFrog leapsters, and video games that are supposedly educational? Do you think our society is going a bit overboard and play with the child's imagination? I wonder, I mean why buy an iPod for a child who is not even potty trained? A friend of mine kid is three sits all day in his Leapster. I really do not think their health. This holiday season but we seem to be diving deep high-tech toys for tots to end. Or is it just the commercial hype? I do not know, but I have my daughter (who is not yet two years), a Barbie laptop. She also has Cinderella's play flip phone that is much like a real phone, and even have conversations. I think it's ok if there is a limit, but I worry about children to sit for hours on. What do you think about it?

Well I agree with the answer first. There must be rules and limits for he. But the fact is that our society is mainly based on communication. This is the era of technology and communication and so it is a necessity. But can be harmful if it becomes an addiction or a habit out of control. For example, when a child becomes addicted to video games or 'leapsters' like you says, which is really unhealthy and children should be controlled and should not be allowed to do all day. Regardless of what year it is or how far we advanced children still have to interact and play with other children and to obtain a large amount of daily exercise. So I support all the toys high technology, provided that the tasks have been made, adopt national action plans, and outside game has ended. The use of these items should be limited to certain parts the daily schedule and not the full schedule. Like the TV should be limited to only 1 hour a day, etc. ..
