Barbie is a good model?
And do you agree with skinny models? Thanks:) Yes, I'm anorexic. Or on the border .. want to be a plastic dog! * lol *
Barbie does not even see how it could be a role model. She is a doll for crying out loud. I played with Barbies more than any other toy as a child and I do not think my self esteem has made a positive or negative. As a child I realized it was a toy with a life very unrealistic. Ex: I had to watch his little sister, she was a rock star, a business woman, a bride, a chef, a princess … It's not a very realistic life. I strongly agree with the models are too skinny. For the must, very thin is an unattainable goal. The average woman is 5'4, 145 PDS. We're teaching young girls that the only way I could ever succeed in life is to be skinny. The only way to have great friends, players get a quality of care, or get a good job is to be thin. But men have the same pressure to be muscular. I look, now 30 and 5'6, 145 PDS. Back in high school I weighed about 135 and was very fit, but just thought it was big as a house. Feeling that must have weighed 115 due to models and actresses, very affected my self-esteem. Thank God we had not only parents who place more value on the inside, but a husband who fell in love with my body and my other attributes. Our society puts too much much in weight and the false reality of what is healthy.
