Dressup games are certainly nothing new. In fact, I have loved the various forms of fashion games for much longer than most people have realized that have existed. The journey through fashion games has been long, but fortunately is quite nice on the road.
Dolls and Dressup Games
The first games were Barbie Dressup – fashion doll is available only about twenty years ago. Barbie games were quite simple – wrist plastic with some teams to choose from. I liked the ball gowns, best of all and could draw Barbies with cars, horses and houses to all enjoy together. When the games have a little lackadaisical, just spiced up a bit.
The best ways we have added some life to the Barbie's games to make our own clothes. Not particularly blessed with sewing skills, most of my clothes for Barbie was built of odd socks. The crew of the narrow neck of the socks micro dress made perfect and we had the socks of every color under the sun to complete Barbie's wardrobe.
Paper Dolls
After killing most of Barbie's hair a few times, I moved to the next sort of fashion dolls – paper dolls and doll plates. Dolls paper are those of education, as they are entertaining. I had a huge collection of paper dolls in all kinds of clothing and styles. The paper dolls were in the book and had to cut all of the dolls and all my clothes if I wanted to really play with them. I collected the books of all kinds of different sources, especially on holiday family.
Sometimes I cut her wrists and sometimes did not. But Anyway, I spent hours looking at the beautiful dresses of the Victorian era or imagined it was in the hot plains of Texas with my paper dolls pioneer. I had such enormous numbers of paper dolls, filled a small trunk and still have today.
Figurines
After the paper dolls, I developed a love of fashion plates. The plates allow design their own dolls with images only different positions raised in the context of a paper page. Arrange the head, body and legs that you want and then rub a pencil at the top to design a fashion page. The end result is the fashion of their own, like the dress up dolls that love today.
Dressing dolls today
Today there are lots of Barbie and Bratz games, paper dolls, but it seems to have moved online. Playing paper dolls is now a virtual thing. To play with dolls, you select a base doll and then find the clothes you like to put in the wrist. No cutting and pasting involved, although I found you have to dig a little harder to find the historical aspects of fashion dolls. But, regardless, I love these dolls in fashion both games Dressup as I have always loved.
